Camara Oscura is a multidisciplinary art gallery specialising in international contemporary photography. Our value proposition is to present the best artists to collectors, selected with professional, alternative and transgressive criteria, as well as to promote our artists over the long term. Participation in international art fairs plays an important role for the gallery.

Camara Oscura is committed to interdisciplinary artists, especially to the “emerging” ones. In all media, our selection criteria focus on “implicit art” requiring interpretive skills to understand, and that exhibit great potential to excite, suggest and make the observer recollect. Our artists share a conceptual and narrative approach to construct their art.

The gallery is situated just down the road from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) and opposite the Caixaforum Arts Center (Fundación La Caixa), right in the heart of the gallery district of Madrid.
